Apple cider vinegar is full of vitamins and minerals that are responsible for the proper functioning of cells in the body. You can also find enzymes, amino acids and pectin in it. A very important component are polyphenolic compounds – polyphenols, which have a strong antioxidant effect. They fight free radicals and act anticancer.

In apple cider vinegar there are B vitamins:

  • vitamin B1 – supporting the work of muscles, heart and nervous system;
  • vitamin B2 – protects the immune system and speeds up metabolism;
  • vitamin B3 – takes part in synthesis of hormones and supports brain function;
  • vitamin B5 – also known as pantothenic acid, protects the circulatory system and increases hair pigmentation;
  • vitamin B6 – supports normal functioning of the nervous system and takes care of normal blood pressure.

In addition to the valuable B vitamins, this food also contains folic acid, which plays a significant role in the digestive system – it protects and supports the stomach and intestines, and is also essential for pregnant women.

In apple cider vinegar you can also find a very high amount of vitamin C, recommended in case of illness or problems with the vascular system.

Uses of apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is especially recommended for diabetics because it lowers blood glucose levels and also increases cell sensitivity to insulin. It is suitable for people with weak immunity.

Apple cider vinegar for weight loss

Interestingly, this food product is not only suitable for people struggling to feel better – apple cider vinegar is often used for weight loss. Drinking a few teaspoons of apple cider vinegar every day makes our metabolism speed up. It has an antioxidant effect, so it is recommended at the very beginning of a diet, so you will get rid of harmful toxins from your body. It also reduces cravings, which makes it easier to lose weight. As a detox supplement, it is extremely effective, but you should not overdo it – half a glass of apple cider vinegar a day will be enough.

Apple cider vinegar for hair

Apple cider vinegar for hair works like a moisturizing mask – it closes the hair cuticles and makes them shinier. In addition, it prevents split ends and makes the hair easier to comb. Vinegar can be used to make a very healthy rinse, which has an anti-dandruff effect. Just add apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to boiled water.

Apple cider vinegar for face

You can use it on your face, especially if you have problematic and acne-prone skin. It has an antibacterial effect and fights blackheads effectively. It also has an antibacterial effect, so you can apply it on your skin instead of toner. After mixing a few teaspoons of vinegar with boiled water, store the mixture in a tightly packed container. Apply it on your cleansed facial skin, before applying cream.

How to drink apple cider vinegar?

You can drink apple cider vinegar in several ways, but one of the more popular, is to dilute two or one tablespoon of this product in warm, boiled water. It should not be consumed on an empty stomach, as it can irritate the stomach walls. During detox, it is recommended to drink a solution with vinegar 30 minutes before meals. Two glasses with dissolved vinegar are enough per day for it to affect our body. Also very popular is tea with a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and smoothies of vegetables or fruits with a few tablespoons of this product. The unpleasant taste can be “killed” by adding a teaspoon of honey or cinnamon.

How to make apple cider vinegar?

The recipe for apple cider vinegar is very simple. To make it you will need ecological apples and a large jar. Wash and cut them into quarters without the core. Then place them in a clean jar and pour over boiled, cool water. You will need 4 tablespoons of sugar or honey for one liter of liquid. Do not screw the jar on but cover it with a paper towel or cotton cloth. Vinegar must mature in a warm place. It will be ready for consumption after a month. It is best to wait until the foam that forms on the surface disappears. Then our apple cider vinegar will be ready for consumption. However, it should be strained beforehand.
