How to Choose the Perfect Mech Mod for You

It takes approx. 3 minutes to read this article

Mechanical mods are one of the most popular methods to use when vaping because they give you the most control over your e-cigarette’s power output and on/off switching. However, the sheer number of options makes it hard to pick out the perfect mechanical mod for your needs and preferences and if you choose poorly, your investment will be wasted. Here’s how to make sure that doesn’t happen to you!

What Is a Mechanical MOD?

Mechanical Mods are devices that allow you to get power from a battery and transfer it to your atomizer. Because they don’t have any circuitry or wiring, mechanical mods don’t cause voltage drop-off like regulated devices to do. This makes them ideal for high-performance vaping. They are also known as unregulated mods because there is no regulation of current and voltage output. These types of mods come in many shapes and sizes; their only difference is the number of batteries. The average size for this type of mod ranges from two cells to four cells. A typical two-cell device might be powered by a 18350 battery, while a four-cell device would most likely be powered by two 18650s.

The benefits of these devices include longevity and simplicity when compared with regulated counterparts. The lack of circuitry will make these last longer than other types of vapes, as long as care is taken in replacing batteries periodically.

Pros of Mechanical Mods

Mechanical mods have been around since the early days of vaping, but it’s only in recent years that they’ve experienced a resurgence in popularity. Mechanical mods are known for their durability, stealthiness, and cost-effectiveness. They are also renowned for producing some of the most satisfying hits. However, mechanical mods do have some drawbacks – like being difficult to use, potentially dangerous, and not all that aesthetically pleasing. Still, if you’re looking for a mod that provides the good stuff without any fuss or frills, then a mech mod could be just what you’re looking for!

Cons of Mechanical Mods

Mechanical mods are not as safe as regulated devices because they lack a circuit board. This means they can be less reliable and more prone to failure, even when properly cared for. They also have limited power output, which may not be sufficient depending on your needs. Some mechanical mods require the use of an external battery pack, which can make them inconvenient or impractical in some situations. Finally, some people argue that mechanical mods are less satisfying than regulated devices due to their lack of control and variety in vapor quality.

Safety Tips When Using a Mechanical MOD

Mechanical mods are not recommended for beginners. They require knowledge of battery amperage, ohms law, voltage drop, and watts law. When using a mech mod, make sure you’re using batteries that are in good condition and can handle your desired wattage. If you have any doubts about your battery’s ability to do so, don’t use them! To decrease the risk of an issue when using a mechanical mod, try these precautions: – Use atomizers with low resistance ratings (lower than 1ohm) – Never put anything on top of the coil head other than wicks or cotton. For example; juice or other liquids will increase fire risk. Avoid carrying a mech mod around when it is connected to a tank without wicks or cotton inside it as well.
